May 2021 - Present

User Experience Researcher (Macadamian Tecnologies)

  • Held a unique role as a UX Researcher were I worked on client facing projects, but also in a close collaboration with HR, on multiple internal facing initiatives

  • I’ve participated in multiple healthcare projects and led several myself. Responsibilities included:

  • Deciding on the right research approach for a given project

  • Recruiting creatively and inclusively (General users, Individual with chronic conditions, healthcare professionals)

  • Conducted mixed-methods research including stakeholder interviews, discovery / working sessions, user interviews, surveys, focus groups and usability testing

  • Synthesizing the data from the multiple approaches in insights reports and outlining research - informed recommendations

  • Disseminating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

January 2021 - April 2021

Research Assistant (Algonquin College)

  • Conducted SME and user interviews as well as focus groups

  • Translated research findings into current state Journey maps, personas, storyboards, and reports.

  • Created future state journey map to illustrate the ideal user journey, once pain points have been addressed

  • Recruited and managed participants for research activities using social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin) and community groups. There were challenges when recruiting out-of-status construction workers (IRCC project) due to their legal status in Canada, and building connections with community groups was crucial for the research's success.

  • Won First Place in the Algonquin Re/Action Showcase with the project Engaging Elementary Schools Students with Wheelchair Basketball.

September 2020 - April 2021

  • Conducted SME and user interviews and focus groups

  • Created journey maps of current processes and future state to help improve the application processes and artifacts.
